Khiva is a remarkably preserved, 2,500-year-old oasis city in western Uzbekistan, frequently described as an "open-air museum". Nestled between the Karakum and Kyzylkum deserts, it was once a formidable stop on the ancient Silk Road. Today, it stands as a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its dazzling, turquoise-tiled Islamic architecture. Legend dictates that Khiva was founded on the exact spot where Shem, the son of Noah, dug the well of Kheyvak. It served as the capital of the Khwarezmian Empire and eventually the powerful Khanate of Khiva. 
You can reach KHIVA from different ways like there are direct flights, direct trains as well as direct buses services available for KHIVA.
BY Air : Khiva is accessible by air via Urgench International Airport (UGC), located about 33 km (20 miles) southeast of the city. There are no direct flights from India; travelers must take a connecting flight with a layover, usually in Tashkent or Dubai.
