Khajjiar, India

In the Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh, India, Khajjiar is a hill station close to the town of Chamba. It is situated in the foothills of the Dhauladhar ranges in the Western Himalayas, on a small plateau about 2,000 meters (6,500 feet) above sea level, roughly 24 kilometers (15 miles) from Dalhousie. The Kalatop Khajjiar Sanctuary includes it as well.The closest large town is Dalhousie, from which Khajjiar is accessible. Three ecosystems coexist in the area: forest, pasture, and lake.Hiking through the pine forests and strolling around the lake are two of Khajjiar's main attractions. Snow accumulation during the winter months might be as high as 910 mm (3 feet). There is a park, a huge statue of Hanuman, and other activities like paragliding and horseback riding.Khajjiar is home to verdant meadows, pines, and dense deodars. It has sweeping views of the peaks and is located at the foot of the Dhauladhar mountains. It is comparable to Switzerland as well. Another moniker for it is ""mini Switzerland.

By air: Khajjiar has a domestic airport with daily flights from New Delhi. The nearest airport is in Dharamshala called the Gaggal airport, at a distance of about 120 km. You can take a taxi to Khajjiar from Pathankot, which is 95 kilometers away from the closest train station. As an alternative, you can take a bus to Chamba or Dalhousie and then hail a cab. A round-trip taxi fare from Dalhousie is approximately INR 1500–1700. There is no airport in Khajjiar.

3Sidu: This is a wheat flour-based steamed bread that is filled with lentils or mashed potatoes. Typically, it is served with butter or ghee.
4.Bhey: This unique delicacy is prepared by slicing lotus stems and cooking them in a hot sauce.
